A true-crime writer finds a cache of 8mm home movies films that suggest the murder he is currently researching is the work of a serial killer whose career dates back to the 1960s.

Director: Scott Derrickson
DVD release date: February 19, 2013
Running time: 110 minutes
Screenplay: Scott Derrickson, C. Robert Cargill

Sinister tells the tale of a true crime writer, Ellison Oswalth (Ethan Hawke), researching a series of seemingly unrelated serial murders that have spanned decades. Of course he moves into the house where one of the murders took place. Of course. What better way to get “into” a story than by secretly moving your entire family into a house where a family of four was murdered; strung up and hung from the old tree in the backyard. (more…)

Looks creepy! In my opinion anything that involves kids and ghosts and weird forest type creatures is creepy. My only problem with this is going to be the PG-13 rating; not a big fan of that. Will be watching soon…..Mama @ IMDb.

As Nell Sweetzer tries to build a new life after the events of the first movie, the evil force that once possessed her returns with an even more horrific plan.
Director: Ed Gass-Donnelly
Writers: Damien Chazelle (screenplay), Ed Gass-Donnelly (screenplay)
Stars: Ashley Bell, Spencer Treat Clark and Andrew Sensenig
I’ve read that The Last Exorcism Part 2 has abandoned the found footage, documentary stylings of the first film for a more traditional approach. The first film was a decent FF supernatural entry so I will be watching the sequel. Who knows it might even be good. If your into demonic possession films or just interested in the subject, The Last Exorcism Part 2 will be hitting theaters in March of this year. Check it out at IMDb.

Official Summary: Five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.
I’am all about the upcoming Evil Dead remake; for me it is probably the most anticipated horror film of 2013. I’m a huge fan of the first three films and have watched the 1st redband about 30 times since it debuted. Evil Dead 2013 looks right messed up, totally creepy and very bloody. Today I caught the second redband release and let me tell ya it’s f$%^n bloody! Real bloody. Check it out now! Right now!

Was bored today so I decided to watch this little flick on Netflix. Meh is pretty much what I got out of this one folks. Lots of little inconsistencies that quite literally bothered the shit outta me. It is a UK film and I understand that there will be accents here but I found the female leads accent absolutely unbearable, gutteral if you will. As for the plot itself it won’t really matter what I say here spoiler wise, because what we have is a typical, am I dead but don’t really know it yet, am I watching the past but don’t really know it yet, am I watching the future but don’t really know it yet, or whatever…..are they ghosts or zombies, evil spirits, actually it doesn’t matter. The 4.7 rating on IMDB tells it all. Watch only if your bored. The Reeds @ IMDB
