When a nun broke her covenant with God to save the life of Aman, her unborn son, he was cursed for life. As an adult, Aman (Snipes) has killed those who have crossed him. But his curse brings his victims back to life, and as the undead, they pursue him endlessly for revenge. Forever suffering this curse, A man enlists Fabulos (Smith), a young gunman, to fight by his side against his undead victims.

I found myself wondering today, “Where in the hell is Wesley Snipes“? Don’t ask why. My brain shorts out sometimes. So I google’d him this morning and came up with this. A lackluster trailer for a Zombie Western featuring a very “Blade” like character. I was never really a big fan of snipes so I don’t think I will be rushing to see this one anytime soon (though Zombies always obsure my better judgement). Anyway check out the trailer below, it’s kinda meh, really. Gallowwalker. (more…)

Mimesis (2011) on IMDb

I just stumbled across Mimesis: Night of the Living Dead this morning while surfing Youtube and thought I’d post it. The film is set for a February 12 DVD/Blu-Ray release, while a “sequel”, the unrealated Mimesis 2 is in the works, based on Nosferatu. Being a jaded zombie enthusiast, I am just fascinated by the constant re-imaginings and remakes of the mighty Romero classic, Night of the Living Dead. It seems every year or so a new (usually crappy) vision of NOTLD crops up from the dark corners of the interweb. From the horrible NOTLD 3D to the upcoming NOTLD: Resurrection (sigh), it seems that people will never tire of butchering the classic. Will Mimesis turn out to be another weak re-imagining or a fresh new take on a played out classic? Check out the trailer below, it does look pretty good. Here’s hoping…..
